SR2 has partnered with a specialist consultancy delivering critical technology transformation projects into high-profile Defence environments. Our client has secured a 12-week Discovery engagement with a key MOD end client, focused on the technical, operational, and security feasibility of implementing a Zero Trust ICAM solution.

This is an initial 3-month contract based on-site in Corsham, with a high likelihood of long-term extension as the project evolves into MVP delivery. We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer who can bring deep technical experience in secure network architecture, Zero Trust frameworks, and integration with MOD network security policies.

The role will sit within a small, high-impact delivery team of specialists and work closely with compliance stakeholders, technical leads, and security officials. You'll be the go-to expert for secure network design and cloud/on-prem integration for this classified environment.

Skills/Experience:

• Deep expertise in Zero Trust network design, Software-Defined Perimeters (SDP), and secure access frameworks
• Strong background in TLS 1.2/1.3, PKI, MFA, secure tunnelling, identity federation, and PAM principles
• Familiarity with MOD Network Security Standards and secure deployment within classified environments
• Experience designing network-level access controls, Firewalls, VPNs, NAC, and segmented network architectures
• Knowledge of MODCloud, private cloud, and cross-domain security integration
• Ability to collaborate with compliance teams and translate complex security requirements into technical designs
• Experience with ICAM solutions, particularly Akamai products, is a major plus

This role requires DV clearance and is expected to start in May 2025.

The position is Outside IR35, with competitive day rates and a strong pipeline of follow-on work.
