Description:

Min. 10 years of progressive business experience in a HR management and leadership position to include the following: talent management, learning and development, recruitment, organizational development, succession planning and compensation preferably with a well-known engineering and/or upstream oil and gas firm.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree is required; preferably in Human Resources, Business or a related field; MBA is strongly preferred.
  2. Professional Designation is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated skill with developing long-term strategic plans and lead/participate in short-term operational implementation (ability to be both strategic and tactical).
  4. Demonstrated expertise with the development, implementation and facilitation of recruiting or employment branding, training and development, succession and retention strategies.
  5. Effective interpersonal, influencing, coaching & conflict-resolution skills.
  6. Proven leadership with the ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal and reach their potential.
  7. Hands-on management style that emphasizes direct involvement in day-to-day HR functions.
  8. Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to deadline.
  9. Ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations.
  11. Highly organized/strong attention to detail.
  12. Demonstrated initiative; along with being results-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide thought leadership to create and drive the subsea HR strategy.
  2. Define and develop strategic insight and recommendations across an array of business-related challenges and opportunities.
  3. Communicate strategies to senior management via well-structured, fact-based presentation packs/decks.
  4. Improve existing analytical and strategic capabilities, and mentor and develop analysts to become broader generalist problem solvers and “internal consultants.”
  5. Provide guidance and thought leadership to specific business improvement projects across the wider business if/where required.
  6. Act as HR business partner for Senior Leadership in Subsea.
  7. Design and align HR initiatives with business strategy and objectives.
  8. Contribute and challenge business plans with complete understanding of business needs and their people or organizational implications.
  9. Participate as an integral member in the strategic planning process in Subsea.
  10. Create and execute strategic plans to improve company performance through people development programs and initiatives for the BU.
  11. Provide oversight and Business Unit direction on the global talent acquisition, development and people management strategy for the BU.
  12. Act as a consult and facilitator with all managers to ensure effective hiring decisions are made.
  13. Direct the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the compensation strategy for the subsea business unit in alignment with ABC Corp’s overall corporate vision.
  14. Direct and manage HR staff and their performance metrics.
  15. Identify trends and make recommendations.
  16. Identify and proactively raise organizational issues and trends in the BU; diagnose processes, structures and approach; recommend alternatives for improved effectiveness.
  17. Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
