Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data & Analytics team. Data Scientists play a key role within ClearScore, driving strategy and key decision-making, which ultimately benefits our users, partners, and other teams within the business. Working in the Data & Analytics team, you will play a key role in building and optimising cloud-based models to enhance personalisation and user experience, as well as analytics to support the leadership team in developing the overall strategy.

ClearScore has an amazing analytical community which includes Data Analysts, Scientists and Engineers. The community works collaboratively to ensure a landscape in which team members can develop their full potential and deliver maximum positive business impact.

What you will be doing:

1. Building predictive models end-to-end, to enable a more personalised user experience
2. Interpreting and communicating the outputs of models and analysis, including actionable insights
3. Automating the model development and maintenance life cycle
4. Assessing the impact of new models and the strategies utilising them
5. Supporting the ongoing growth of ClearScore across all markets

Skills we'd love you to have

1. A strong desire to deeply understand the problem to be solved and why it is important to the business, before attempting to solve it
2. Being a self starter who loves learning new things and working collaboratively to solve business problems
3. The ability to explain to non-technical audiences the key learnings/ findings from analysis and modelling
4. Advanced coding skills in Python and SQL
5. Strong understanding of multiple Machine Learning (ML) techniques and their suitability under various scenarios
6. Good knowledge and experience related to the end-to-end ML model building lifecycle, including feature engineering and model deployment
7. Basic understanding of consumer lending and the key drivers of credit and affordability strategies

Our Hybrid Model
