Job description

Once For All is a high-growth, cloud-based, SaaS subscription business. Our technology helps our customers to manage their supply chain governance, risk management and compliance. We work across public and private sector and have over 250k customers across the UK across 20 different sectors including construction, transport, retail, hospitality education, facility and property management, manufacturing, local and central government.

Role Summary:

Our business is growing into new areas (tender management, carbon assessments and marketplace solutions) and we want to build out Data Science capabilities into new & existing products. You'll be joining our Data Science team split across UK & Lyon (France) working with us, Product & Engineering teams to integrate new solutions around search & recommendation capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. In this product-orientated DS role you will need to understand business requirements & work with PMs and researchers to build solutions.
  2. Use your knowledge of Data Science to build models, provide robust and statistical evaluations and identify key insights.
  3. Work with the Data Science team to maintain high development standards and build out DS applications from prototype to productionising (APIs, deployments etc.), with initial focus on Document AI solutions (extractions, classification, information-retrieval/ RAG applications).
  4. Communicating your work with technical and non-technical business areas.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years commercial experience in building data orientated products.
  2. Excellent Python programming skills, building & maintaining python packages and tooling (e.g. hatch, uv, ruff).
  3. Excellent data skills (SQL & Python) - ability to manipulate, analyse and work with a variety of data types (structured & unstructured), build data pipelines, monitoring dashboarding etc.
  4. Good development skills: APIs, containerisation, deployment pipelines & environments (we use AKS).
  5. Highly motivated creative, problem solving and strong communication skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively independently/ small team with internal stakeholders from technical + non-technical business areas.

Nice to have:

  1. Knowledge of document AI tools (Regex, OCR, NER, LLMs & multi-modal AI) and appreciation of where each could be applied.
  2. Experience using LLMs (e.g. for extraction, problem solving tasks, programmatically), RAG systems or agentic workflows.
  3. Knowledge in any of the topics; knowledge graphs, graphRAG, sentence-transformers, image & multimodal embeddings.
  4. Good data visualisation skillset, experienced with dashboard/ prototyping tools e.g. Streamlit.
  5. Experience with cloud platforms (we use the Azure ecosystem).
  6. French or Spanish language skills is a bonus.
