The Role

The Data Protection Analyst (DPA) will be responsible for the monitoring of all Data Loss Prevention events for Proofpoint's Managed Services clients, escalating all necessary events to the clients via approved escalation paths. DPAs will also perform health checks and pull monthly metrics from the DLP consoles supporting Program Analysts (PAs) and Program Strategy Managers (PSMs) with monthly reporting. Ensure all tasks performed adhere to the firm’s ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). This includes participation in annual information and network security training and acceptance of spot checks on an ad hoc basis to guarantee that Proofpoint is constantly improving upon the organization’s ISMS.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor all Data Loss Prevention events for Proofpoint’s Managed Services clients.
  2. Escalate necessary events to the clients via approved escalation paths.
  3. Perform health checks for all the Data Loss Prevention environments.
  4. Follow all associated Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to perform health checks.
  5. Provide policy recommendations to the consultants based on trends observed during daily monitoring.
  6. Pull metrics from the Data Loss Prevention consoles to assist the PAs and PSMs with presentations/reporting.
  7. Maintain customer policies in DLP environments, ensuring use cases adhere to customer requirements.
What You Bring to the Team
  1. Experience in information security, digital forensics, intelligence, risk management, or a similar field.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Criminal Justice (or other applicable degree, and/or commensurate, applicable experience).
  3. Ability to analyze data sets and uncover unique attributes and trends.
  4. Demonstrated organizational and scheduling skills.
  5. Rigorous attention to detail.
  6. Passion to find innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.
  7. Ability to work effectively with team members and clients.
  8. Self-motivated, with the ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  9. Consultative skills and strong judgment.
  10. Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions to a variety of audiences.
  11. Strong time management skills.
Nice to Have
  1. Experience working with DLP, CASB, SIEM, email and/or web gateway.
  2. Analyzing data and deriving business intelligence.
  3. Performing computer or cyber forensics and investigations.
  4. Degree in Information Security, Criminal Justice, Intelligence, or other applicable degree.
  5. Network+, Security+, SSCP, ITIL, ISO 20/27k, CFE, and related certifications.
