Job description

Exciting Interim opportunity for a Data Privacy Specialist - London (6 months)

We are excited to be working with a fast-growing Global Tech business in their search for an Interim Data Privacy Specialist (likely 6 months).

You will be expected to come with previous experience having successfully implemented and managed data protection frameworks in a fast-paced global business environment.

You will take the lead in ensuring that all internal processes and policies align with relevant data protection regulations and industry best practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Embedding data protection requirements into projects across various business functions while building strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote a privacy-conscious culture.
  • Collaboration with other teams to integrate privacy considerations into business processes, emphasising privacy by design and effective risk management.
  • Creating and updating data protection policies and ROPA.
  • Conducting transfer risk assessments, impact assessments, and data mapping to support business activities.
  • Providing advice and internal training on data protection best practices to ensure this is embedded in all operations.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data protection, with a track record of successful implementation of data privacy frameworks.
  • International experience with a group company.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data protection legislation including EU and UK GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR.
  • Experience working with Private Equity or startup environments would be helpful.
