Data Governance Analyst

The Opportunity

QBE Europe is currently recruiting for a Data Governance Analyst to join a well-established and successful Data Centre of Excellence team in our London office. Our team’s goal is to roll out data governance across the European Operations division. As a Data Governance Analyst, you will work with colleagues across the Data Centre of Excellence and the business to ensure data is managed appropriately.

Your new role

  • Provide clear and practical guidance to business and project stakeholders in the application of data governance best practice.
  • Manage the annual Solvency II data management process, working with stakeholders across the business and risk teams.
  • Update and maintain Data Governance Policy and Framework documents.
  • Manage the User Developed Application (UDA) Governance process to ensure compliance with the policy.
  • Manage process to monitor compliance with the Data Governance Principles.
  • Develop content for consumption by senior managers and governance forums.
  • Create and maintain content in Collibra.
  • Develop Data Governance and Collibra training material for consumption by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain data governance processes to ensure Collibra is well-governed, and data governance principals are applied.

About You

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in Data Governance and Management.
  • Experience in rolling out and using Collibra.
  • Proficient in developing Power Apps and automating workflows with Power Automate.
  • Experienced in writing reports and guidelines.
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry.
  • Experienced in developing and improving governance processes.
  • Experience in running training sessions.
