Job description

Would you like to work for an award-winning charity known for being a great place to work? (Best Companies / Investors in People).

They’ve launched a new service supporting ex-offenders in the community, helping them rebuild their lives. It’s a fantastic approach to rehabilitation, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

A typical day in this role involves:

  1. Welcoming participants as they arrive and ensuring all safety checks are completed.
  2. Managing bookings and referrals through email, phone, or self-referrals.
  3. Handling petty cash for travel expenses or small purchases.
  4. Gathering feedback from participants through surveys or follow-ups.
  5. Monitoring CCTV and controlling access to restricted areas.
  6. Ordering supplies, like stationery or refreshments.
  7. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety guidelines by checking equipment.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in criminal justice and supporting rehabilitation. Ideally, you have worked on a similar project with vulnerable clients. Strong organisational skills and demonstrable admin experience are essential. You’ll need strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with a range of people.

This could be a great opportunity for a criminology graduate looking to take their first step on the career ladder. Ideally, you will have some experience of working or volunteering with ex-offenders or clients with similar support needs.
