Salary: £95 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor (CS) to join a dynamic school in Sheffield to make a difference and foster a love for learning.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students. You will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor (CS):

1. Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
2. Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain engaged and on task.
3. Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
4. Support students in their learning and aid as needed.
5. Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
6. Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

Requirements of Cover Supervisor (CS):

1. Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is desirable.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Applicable for secondary schools.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
5. A genuine passion for education and supporting young adults.
6. Strong organisational and time-management skills.

To work with GSL Education as a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will need:

1. Have the right to work in the UK.
2. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
3. Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.

Mandatory Information:

1. The successful candidate must hold PGCE in the relevant subject with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS), or equivalent certification.
2. Be able to provide a ten-year career history with relevant reference details covering the last two years, including your most recent place of academic employment.
