Due to growing demand in Barnsley, TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support Secondary Schools in the area. This role is perfect for individuals who are confident in managing a classroom environment while delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivering pre-set lesson plans across various subjects
2. Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
3. Supporting students with tasks and activities as directed by the teacher
4. Collecting and returning completed work to the appropriate staff
5. Providing feedback on classroom behaviour and engagement in line with school policies
6. Handling any immediate classroom issues in accordance with school procedures

Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential):

1. Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools
2. Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
3. Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision of Pupils in Schools
