As Communications & PR Manager, you will:
  1. Develop & Implement Communication Strategies – Lead the creation and execution of internal and external communication plans that align with PDSA’s objectives, increasing public awareness and engagement.
  2. Media Relations & PR Campaigns – Build strong relationships with media channels, secure positive coverage, and coordinate impactful PR campaigns to enhance PDSA’s reputation.
  3. Storytelling & Content Creation – Identify and develop compelling stories that showcase PDSA’s impact, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all platforms.
  4. Crisis & Reputation Management – Monitor public sentiment, manage media inquiries, and coordinate crisis communication responses to protect and uphold PDSA’s reputation.
  5. Internal Communications & Public Affairs Support – Ensure internal messaging aligns with external communication strategies while supporting public affairs efforts to engage with stakeholders.
  6. Performance Monitoring & Innovation – Track media coverage and PR metrics to inform future strategies, while staying updated on industry trends to identify new PR opportunities.
We’re seeking someone with:
  1. Proven Communications & PR Expertise – Experience in managing communications and PR within a similar sector, with a strong ability to craft and execute effective strategies.
  2. Media Relations & Campaign Management – A strong track record of building media relationships and delivering successful PR campaigns that drive positive brand awareness.
  3. Crisis Communication & Reputation Management – Experience in handling crisis situations, acting as a spokesperson, and mitigating reputational risks.
  4. Excellent Written & Verbal Communication – Strong storytelling abilities with exceptional writing and speaking skills to engage audiences effectively.
  5. Stakeholder & Team Leadership – Strong interpersonal skills, with experience managing a team and collaborating across departments to ensure aligned messaging.
  6. Relevant Qualifications (Desirable) – Professional qualifications in PR, Communications, or Marketing would be advantageous.
