Job title: Commercial Client Director

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £70,000 - £100,000

Location: London

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Client Director for an established London market insurance broker. The role is inheriting an existing book of business and to drive growth within the commercial client portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account management, commercial insurance client portfolios, and executive-level relationship building.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and execute strategic plans to grow and retain the commercial client base
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial clients and stakeholders
  3. Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to identify and pursue new commercial business opportunities
  4. Provide leadership and guidance in negotiating and closing commercial deals
  5. Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats within the commercial sector
  6. Continuously improve internal processes to optimise client management and retention

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Proven experience in commercial client management or executive-level sales within the commercial insurance sector
  2. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  3. Deep understanding of commercial markets and trends
  4. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding commercial client acquisition and retention targets

DAY-TO-DAY

  1. Meeting with key commercial clients to understand their needs and priorities
  2. Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted commercial client acquisition strategies
  3. Analysing industry data and market research to identify commercial business opportunities
  4. Leading negotiations for new commercial client contracts
  5. Continuing education and staying updated on relevant industry trends and changes
