Job description

The Asset Management Client Skills & Technology Training Team (CST) is dedicated to designing, developing, and delivering consistent skills and knowledge-based global training programs for internal stakeholders (i.e. Investment Specialists, Client Advisors, Client Service professionals) and external clients. The CST team works closely with the Asset Management Operating Committee to ensure client-facing advisors and investment solutions professionals, from Associate to MD, have the skills necessary to improve our client outcomes and experiences. Ideal for someone looking for deep insight and connection to the entire Asset Management business.

As a Client Skills Facilitator and Coach on the Asset Management Client Skills Training team, you will play a key role in executing training programs, individual coaching, and delivering important client-facing programs such as Consultative Selling, Negotiation Skills, and Presentation Skills. A focus area of the role will be to deliver training externally to our strategic partnerships and large asset owners, to support the upskilling of our clients as part of the holistic JPMorgan Asset Management Client Experience. The role will require relationship and negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate with external clients to develop “bespoke” trainings. This role will be looking to create a commercial capability to the business growth of asset management.

Periodic domestic & regional travel may be required.

Job responsibilities
  • Activate and motivate client-facing teams.
  • Act as a facilitator and coach to execute training programs, building relationships with stakeholders across our business and partners on our team.
  • Engage business stakeholders and subject matter experts to shape exercises and workshops, in close coordination with design and participant experience partners.
  • Facilitate the delivery of content that not only reinforces foundational programs but also seamlessly transitions to more advanced material, empowering Client Advisors, Sales Support, Investment Specialists, and Client Service colleagues to engage with assurance and drive positive outcomes for growth and development.
  • Negotiate with C-Suite clients to agree on the training support for External Clients, which will include the design, development, and delivery of training material for clients in on-site regional locations.
  • Host and deliver training workshops for new and existing participants.
  • Partner with team members to design new content and refresh existing content.
  • Periodic domestic & regional travel may be required.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Previous client-facing experience e.g. Client Advisor; Relationship Management/ Investment Specialist.
  • Have a commercial mindset with a focus on the opportunity for business growth within the region.
  • Growth mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Background in financial services/wealth management.
  • Experience working in a client-focused environment; ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate with clients.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and with multiple priorities in a flexible manner.
  • Ability to work independently and drive processes and decision-making, while still acting with a collaborative team mindset.
  • Passion for the development of people as a means to increase trust and integration, contributing to the effectiveness of our team.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Training and/or coaching experience or demonstrated related skill set in training and coaching.
  • B.A. degree in a related field.
  • Solution-oriented with strong interpersonal, consultative, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop and implement new initiatives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Leadership presence to interact confidently with senior executives.
