Client Manager Required. Our client is a leading firm of Chartered Tax Advisors, Accountants, and Business Consultants. Due to ongoing success and profitable business growth, they are seeking experienced candidates to join a dynamic and expanding team.
We are looking for an organised and conscientious individual to join as a Client Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working within an accountancy practice, offering the chance to be part of a supportive and long-term focused team. Benefits:
- Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
- Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (30-minute lunch break) Friday: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm (no lunch break)
- Flexi-time: Staff can work between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, with the flexibility to adjust hours to meet personal needs (subject to guidelines in the Staff Handbook).
- Pension: Group Personal Pension Plan, with contributions starting after three months. The practice contributes 4% of your salary, with an employee contribution of 4%. Optional Salary Sacrifice for Employee Pension Contributions is available.

- Commission:
- 15% commission on introducing suitable clients (first-year)
- 10% commission on introducing suitable clients (second-year)
- £1,500 commission for introducing non-senior employees and £3,000 for senior roles.

- Christmas Closure Period (24 Dec to 1 Jan): All working days in this period given as extra holiday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sole Trader and Partnership Accounts: Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Corporate Accounts and Corporation Tax Returns: Manage corporate accounts and tax returns, ensuring adherence to all regulations.
- Business Taxation: Provide advice on business taxation, helping clients optimise their tax positions.
- Personal Tax Returns: Prepare basic personal tax returns for individuals and offer professional guidance where needed.
- Bookkeeping and VAT: Handle bookkeeping and VAT returns, ensuring all reports are accurate and submitted on time.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience working within an accountancy practice, particularly in preparing accounts, tax returns, and providing business taxation advice.
- A strong understanding of VAT, corporate and business taxation, and personal tax returns.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently advise clients.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to work autonomously while adhering to the Practice's systems and standards.
- Practical experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
- Formal accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, AAT) are beneficial but not required.
