ABOUT THIS ROLE : Reporting to the CEO, the Chief People Officer (CPO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), leading HR initiatives across the APAC region, with a focus on Australia and Manila. A key responsibility will also include oversight on Manila Operations as well as implementing strategies to support the organisation’s growth and ensure high-quality service delivery.

As a member of the ELT, the CPO will help shape the company’s strategic direction, providing fresh perspectives and challenging other divisions to drive business success.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with business goals, fostering a high-performance culture across Australia and Manila.
  2. Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, influencing business decisions with strategic HR insights.
  3. Meet weekly as part of the ELT to discuss broad business results and strategy with direct input to shaping the company into the future.
  4. Oversee talent acquisition, succession planning, and workforce optimisation to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
  5. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, DE&I, and workplace culture across both regions.
  6. Ensure HR policies, practices, and processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements in Australia and the Philippines.
  7. Lead transformation initiatives, including organisational restructuring, digital HR strategies, and process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  2. Relevant industry experience in HR leadership roles, with at least 5+ years at the executive level.
  3. Proven track record in leading HR strategy in fast-paced, high-growth organisations, ideally in telecommunications or technology call centre type environments.
  4. Strong background in organisational design, talent development, and workforce transformation.
  5. Experience engaging with Boards and C-suite executives on people-related strategies.

  1. A natural leader who fosters a people-centric culture and inspires high-performing teams.
  2. Confident and credible in an executive setting, able to influence and drive strategic decisions.
  3. Strong relationship-building skills, working effectively across different cultures and leadership teams.
  4. Ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR strategies.
  5. Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  6. Willingness to travel regularly between Australia and Manila to support leadership and employee engagement is a must.
