Job description

As a Chef Supervisor at Sodexo in Merville Barracks, Colchester, CO2 7UT, you're ambitious about culinary excellence. We understand the true strength it takes to be a chef! You'll be providing this service for our armed forces personnel, improving their quality of life every day!

What you’ll do:

• Effective delivery of catering services to the client organisation
• Operationally oversee the shift to assist the catering leads in delivering the service to the required specification across multiple onsite locations
• Motivate and supervise the chefs, assist in training and development programmes as directed
• Deputise head chefs in instances of short and long term cover
• Assistance with running service/preparation/other duties of the busy working kitchen
• Ensuring strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems
• Working with the FOH team to drive service excellence
• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations
• Prepare, produce and present food to the highest standard

What you bring:

• NVQ lv 2/3 or a busy kitchen environment experience
• Basic IT skills
• Experience in menu production and confident input
• Exposure to bulk cooking
• The enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills

Package Description

• 40 hours per week
• Any 5 days out of 7
• Shifts between 06:00 and 20:00
  (will be required to work later to support with the military functions)
