Do you thrive in diverse, dynamic environments where every day brings new challenges and opportunities?

Are you ready to lead and innovate in a role dedicated to restoring hope and dignity to vulnerable individuals?

Join our Refugee Support team as a Casework Coordinator and become a vital force for positive change! You'll coordinate and deliver casework services for asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants in Devon. This hybrid role involves working from our offices and from home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support that empowers individuals to regain control of their lives. You'll manage volunteer teams, engage service users in service development, and build strong external partnerships. Does this sound like you? If you're ready to challenge stigma, restore family links, and create a more inclusive community, then we would love to have you join our team!

What will a day in the life of a Casework Coordinator involve? You'll be:

  1. Supporting service users with high-quality, person-centred casework in Derby and Nottingham.
  2. Overseeing and supporting volunteers, including their training and development for effective service delivery.
  3. Facilitating service user feedback and involvement in service development.
  4. Building strong relationships with external partners and managing associated risks and safeguarding concerns.
  5. Maintaining accurate records in line with data protection standards.
  6. Implementing monitoring and evaluation procedures.

To be a successful Casework Coordinator, you’ll need:

  1. To understand issues affecting asylum seekers, refugees, and other vulnerable migrants.
  2. Knowledge of the rights and entitlements for reunited refugees and their families, and the ability to advise on asylum and immigration policies.
  3. Experience working with other agencies and handling casework for vulnerable clients.
  4. Great organisational and time management skills to plan, manage, and prioritise workloads, including helping volunteers.
  5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to talk effectively with people whose first language isn't English.
  6. To be comfortable using IT, especially Microsoft Office.

The closing date for applications is 23.59 on the 1st April 2025.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you’ll get:

  1. Holidays: 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + option to buy 5 extra days.
  2. Pension scheme: Up to 6% contributory pension.
  3. Flexible working: We do our best to accommodate your preferred work style.
  4. Learning & Development: Wide range of career opportunities + comprehensive learning.
  5. Discounts: Access to Blue Light Discount Card and employee benefits platform.
  6. Wellbeing Support: Access to mental health and wellbeing assistance.
  7. Team Working: Support our mission in a collaborative team.
  8. Cycle2Work: Lease a bicycle through the scheme.
  9. Season ticket loan: Interest-free loan for commuting expenses.
