Qualifications

  • Ausgezeichnetes Verständnis der regulatorischen Verantwortlichkeiten eines stellvertretenden Managers.
  • Erfahrung in der Führung eines Schichtteams und der Erstellung von Pflegeplänen.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. To be responsible for the day to day care of residents, delegating roles to nursing and care staff as appropriate.
  2. To provide clinical supervision to the Registered Nurses, ensuring they obtain and sustain the clinical competencies necessary to meet the needs of residents.
  3. To act as a Shift Team Leader and provide overall supervision and development for care staff.
  4. To contribute to the training of care staff and other staff, acting as a role model at all times.
  5. To actively participate in personal and professional development opportunities.
  6. Monitor, audit, and review the service, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary.
  7. Demonstrate high professional standards and leadership.
  8. Assist the Home Manager with formal supervision/appraisal of Staff Members in line with company policy, and with ongoing informal assessment of their work.
  9. Implement and adhere to Gold Care's policies and procedures, legal requirements, and relevant codes of practice.
  10. To assist with effective recruitment, performance management, and deployment of staff to deliver high quality care and support outcomes for people who use our services.
  11. Liaise with and oversee maintenance contractors and others involved in property maintenance.
  12. Promote the service and Gold Care through effective communication with stakeholders.
  13. Promote the home professionally and effectively in the community, maintaining private bed occupancy and supporting corporate marketing.
  14. Ensure that all staff focus on excellent customer care to enhance the lives of people who use our services and Gold Care's reputation.
  15. Any other duties consistent with the business of Gold Care Homes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  1. Excellent understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a Deputy Manager.
  2. Excellent understanding of the principles of high quality, person-centred care and support.
  3. Ability to negotiate and manage a budget.
  4. Knowledge and use of clinical assessment tools.
  5. Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans.
  6. Experience of leading a shift.
  7. Experience of working in the care home environment.
  8. Experience of working with individuals with dementia.

  1. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  2. Excellent listening skills.
  3. The ability to deliver leadership and supervision.
  4. The ability to work on own initiative without direct supervision.
