CAD Designer Required!

Our client is a family-run business with over 30 years of experience, known for its strong reputation in mechanical and electrical engineering. They operate across various sectors, including steel fabrication, plant hire, and electrical services, offering innovative solutions and designs to meet their customers' needs.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a skilled CAD Designer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise 2D drawings for structural steel and fabrication projects. Working closely with engineers and project managers, you will ensure that designs meet specifications.

Candidates must live within commutable distance to their site based in West Yorkshire.

Package:

1. Monday - Friday 7am till 4pm
2. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
3. £35,000 - £37,000 (DOE)

CAD Designer - Responsibilities:

1. Create 2D CAD drawings for steel fabrication and electrical systems, including structural frameworks and layout designs.
2. Develop fabrication drawings for steel components, ensuring accurate dimensions, weld details, and material specifications.
3. Work closely with engineers and fabricators to translate concepts into detailed technical drawings.
4. Revise and update drawings based on design modifications and client feedback.
5. Conduct site surveys and take precise measurements to support design accuracy.
6. Provide technical support to production and installation teams.

CAD Designer - Requirements:

1. Proven experience in the steel fabrication industry.
2. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
3. Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, welding symbols, and material specifications.
4. Experience producing detailed fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and cutting lists.
5. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and fabricators.
