Responsibilities Of the Buyer:

  1. Manage materials procurement for allocated projects balancing cost, quality, and availability to ensure the best value.
  2. Provide an effective procurement capability to the production facility.
  3. Update order availability in the ERP system.
  4. Be a central point of contact for manufacturing and suppliers.
  5. Monitor supplier performance, quality and cost.
  6. Mitigate supply chain risk through identification, evaluation and selection of suppliers whilst identifying and managing risks and opportunities.

Experience:
  1. Proven experience as a Buyer within the construction sector.
  2. Knowledge of materials such as concrete, aggregates, rebar and steel.
  3. Excellent negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
  4. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  5. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
