About the Role

InvestCloud is looking for an intelligent, practical individual with experience in delivering financial technology. The Business Systems Analyst role affords the ability to make an impact internally, and on InvestCloud’s largest client relationships in a product capacity. The ideal candidate will have very strong analytical and organizational skills, solid knowledge in SDLC, a strong sense of ownership, a demonstrated history of positive results in delivering financial technology, a genuine willingness to learn, and the capability to quickly master new skills.

What does a great Business Systems Analyst do?

A great Business Systems Analyst bridges the gap between complex business needs and technical solutions. They excel in forging strong partnerships with product owners, business analysts, and developers to deeply understand and influence project outcomes. Through leadership and mentorship, they guide their team past obstacles, ensuring projects progress smoothly and meet their goals.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers to gain a comprehensive understanding of project goals and product functionalities.
• Lead and mentor a team, identifying obstacles and collaborating with delivery management to ensure smooth project execution.
• Translate product feature requirements into technical solutions, working alongside developers and product architect.
• Deliver and implement advanced, high-quality systems that adhere to budgetary constraints and project specifications.
• Overlap with test teams to ensure both positive and negative test cases are available to help support a high quality product.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation to facilitate the support handoff process, leveraging both business acumen and technical expertise.

Basic Qualifications and Skills for Consideration:

• Experience as Business Systems Analyst in Fintech, consulting, or related industry.
• Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development methodology.
• Expert with Excel and Data Analysis, including modeling, lookups, and macro writing.
• Knowledge of investment management, portfolio accounting and financial market data.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism.
• Possess business savvy but a techie at heart.
• Brilliant communication and client presentation skills.
• Technical software spec writing and documentation.

Preferred Skills / Experience

• SQL
• .Net
• Data Modeling and Mapping
• Understanding of Product Development Lifecycle and SaaS delivery.
• Experience as a Data or Research Analyst.
