Job Description:

A global financial services firm is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their Glasgow team on a contract basis until the end of the year. This position offers a hybrid working, requiring 3 days in the office.

Essential Skills/Experience:

1. Business analysis experience gained in the Financial Services Industry
2. Knowledge of traditional Project Management approaches
3. Experience of Regulatory Reporting projects would be preferred
4. Excellent organisational skills
5. Strong analytical, organisational and documentation skills with an ability to understand processes and key controls
6. Experience of data modelling and investigation
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Experience of Microsoft Office and project management tools
9. Experienced in implementing change effectively to improve existing processes
10. Experience of investigating, summarising and presenting results in a meaningful format
11. Highly numerate with an attention to detail and accuracy

Core Responsibilities:

1. Develop collaborative relationships working across different departments and regions
2. Business analysis in support of a Regulatory Reporting project stream in an Agile environment
3. Lead and/or contribute to key project work streams relating to the buildout of evolving regulatory rules
4. Take part in Agile ceremonies providing updates and reporting for Clients and Senior Management
5. Communicate and escalate to line management as appropriate
6. Liaison with Clients and IT colleagues to identify new requirements, create user stories and track prioritization and remediation
