Behaviour Mentor
  • Location: Bromley, UK
  • Job Type: Full-Time, MAT cover
  • Salary: 100 - 110 a day

Join our SEMH school in Bromley, dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We are committed to helping our students achieve their full potential through tailored educational programs and comprehensive support services.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized behaviour management plans.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor and support student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Assist in the development of social skills and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Conduct regular assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Support students in developing coping mechanisms and resilience.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable.
