Are you an 'Advanced Support Worker', a team leader perhaps, who has plenty of hands-on experience with 'Challenging Behaviour' or experienced with PBS looking to progress your career?

Would you like to gain qualifications, enjoy specialist training, have more responsibility and earn more money?

Or how about enjoying and engaging in a favourite hobby, which could include anything from swimming, horse riding, gym, walking, gaming, collecting, theatre, art, to name but a few.

If you seek a secure and rewarding change of employment with a leading charity, we would love to hear from you!

Community Integrated Care is recruiting for a Bank Advanced Support Worker, with various shift patterns; you will need to be fully flexible.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced support worker to step up. You will support adults with learning disabilities and autism, who have complex needs, to lead the best life possible.

Benefits
  1. £13.74 per hour, new rates of £14.42 from April!
  2. Work doing the things you enjoy, meaning work never feels like work.
  3. Work for a multi-award-winning Charity that invests all its profits right back into the people we support, our workforce, and our local communities.
  4. Managed by supportive leaders.
  5. 20 Days annual leave inclusive of statutory bank holidays (for full time, part time is worked out on a pro-rata basis).
  6. Pension Scheme.
  7. No uniform - we wear our casual clothes.
  8. Flexible Working Hours & Shift patterns.
  9. We will pay for your DBS.
  10. We are based in one location, so no need to be a car driver.
  11. Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives.

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.

Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity, and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.

We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing, and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support, and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced support worker to step up. You will support adults with learning disabilities and autism, who have complex needs, to lead the best life possible.

  1. We are a group of amazing individuals living in a scheme of Bungalows. We range in age from 20-60 years old.
  2. The scheme can cater for individuals with needs related to learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and physical disabilities.

What is important to us:

  1. We lead very independent and active lives in our local community. This includes volunteering and going to college.
  2. We have a range of hobbies and interests including drama/theatre, art, cooking, gaming, collecting, swimming, and going to the gym and horse riding.
  3. We enjoy socialising with each other, especially in the summer.
  4. We have lots of goals we would like to achieve. These include learning new skills, getting jobs, learning to drive, and having relationships.

Your values:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism, sensory communication, physical health, and challenging behaviour.

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment, you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.

Naturally, it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to us, so we look for people with:
