Audit Assistant Manager Role in Well Established Edinburgh-based Firm

This firm is seeking to appoint a permanent Assistant Audit Manager, offering significant opportunities for career progression. With offices across Scotland, the firm serves a global clientele, providing a comprehensive range of services including audit, advisory, and tax.
Your new role
The role will involve:
- Conducting external audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, such as owner-managed businesses, technology, life sciences, financial services, property groups, charities, housing associations, and pension schemes.
- Liaising and communicating with colleagues, managers, and partners.
- Coaching junior staff and assisting with in-house training sessions.
- Developing and maintaining client contact and relationships.
- Ensuring work is completed within strict timescales and to the agreed budget.
- Undertaking ad-hoc tasks as directed by the management team.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will require the following:
- Experience of account preparation (essential)
- Recent experience in public practice (essential)
- Recent external audit experience (essential)
- Newly qualified CA or ACCA
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to take responsibility and suggest solutions to problems encountered
- Proven success as a team player
- Proven ability to work to budgets and deadlines
- IT literate: Microsoft Office, CCH, Audit Automation, Sage, Xero, CaseWare IDEA preferred
