Job description

With more than 200 sales in London, Paris and Online, Arlettie is the leader in organising private sales in the industry. The Assistant Cashier Manager supports the Cashier Manager in overseeing the cashiering operations of the store. This role involves supervising a team of 7 people, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions, maintaining cash registers, and providing excellent customer service, in a challenging and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  1. Till Management
    1. Managing the tills, customer queries and security at the cash desk.
    2. Controlling cash handling procedures, investigating and resolving discrepancies on the tills.
    3. You will manage cash in hand.
  2. Team Management
    1. Assist in managing and supervising the cashier team.
    2. Train new cashiers and provide ongoing coaching to ensure high performance.
    3. You will also train the team to make sure they follow and apply specific processes requested by the individual brands we work with.
    4. You will lead and motivate the team by organising weekly team meetings in which you will share weekly processes to follow as well as communication daily sales targets.
  3. Customer Service
    1. Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
    2. Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
    3. Handle customer transactions in a friendly and efficient manner.
  4. Administration
    1. Responsible for uploading prices to the till software and preparing point of sale material including pricing signage with information provided by the account manager.
    2. Liaising with account managers for all commercial activities (bundles, specific discount etc.) and sales results.
    3. Responsible for reporting all client feedback to the management team to ensure each sale achieves all relevant targets.
    4. Monitor and maintain checkout areas to ensure they are clean and well-organized.
    5. Implement and enforce store policies and procedures.
    6. Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies for the cashiering area.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cashier or retail role in a retail flagship store or a store with high volumes (ie: Zara, H&M, Tk Maxx).
  2. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
  3. Reliability, professionalism and strong commercial acumen.
  4. Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.
  5. Previous experience of successfully leading a team.
  6. Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
  7. Entrepreneurial spirit.
  8. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  9. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  10. Good spoken and written English.
