Assistant Contract Surveyor

Location: Little Chalfont
Salary: Competitive + Package

Tier 1 Residential Main Contractor

Our client is looking for an Assistant Contract Surveyor to join their Commercial Team on a multi-phased private development, delivering 350 homes (predominantly housing with some low-rise apartments, traditional build). This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while working on high-quality residential projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Assisting in cash flow management, cost control & financial reporting
2. Supporting procurement by preparing subcontractor orders & ensuring budget alignment
3. Collaborating with production & technical teams to manage risks & opportunities
4. Contributing to subcontractor account management, including valuations & payments
5. Producing cost valuations, financial reports & supporting final accounts preparation
6. Assisting in value engineering processes to identify cost-saving opportunities

What You Need:

1. Degree-qualified or working towards a qualification in a relevant field
2. Strong understanding of cost control, procurement & construction processes
3. Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems & Health & Safety practices
4. Main contractor experience preferred
5. Excellent communication & organisational skills with a proactive mindset
