Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join our friendly, forward thinking and supportive service that provides care to adults across the Bury area.

We are looking for a motivated and suitably qualified individual to support service delivery.

The post holder will provide comprehensive, efficient and effective clinical administration support for a range of Allied Health Professions (AHP) services.

The successful individual will need to be a hardworking, team player with excellent communication skills and ability to organise and prioritise workload. The ideal candidate would have office administration experience, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and databases.

The applicant will be required to be flexible towards the needs of the AHP services in Bury.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide comprehensive clinical administration support including gathering and accurately collecting data and information from a variety of sources relating to service performance and delivery.
  2. Maintain a confidential, friendly and patient-focused service.
  3. Communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels both within and outside the services.
  4. Undertake a range of tasks working in the AHP directorate clinical administration function, including telephone calls, accurate data input on databases, electronic transfer of information, message processing, and use of electronic ordering systems.
  5. Involve in service improvement projects on an ad-hoc basis.

The role is based at various locations across the Bury area, and will support therapists such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide care to families and carers across a range of community care settings.

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.

As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we’re always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire – to join our team.

In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction.

By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
