Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx has two commercial products approved in the United States, IBSRELA (tenapanor) and XPHOZAH (tenapanor). Ardelyx has agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S. Kyowa Kirin commercializes PHOZEVEL (tenapanor) for hyperphosphatemia in Japan. A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support key leaders within our Commercial and Market Access teams. This role will provide direct administrative support to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Market Access, Vice President (VP) of Operations & Analytics, SVP of Commercial Excellence, and SVP of Commercial Development. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level administrative support, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and manage expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including logistics, agendas, materials, and follow-ups.
  • Assist in the preparation and formatting of presentations, reports, and other key documents.
  • Support contract management submissions
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and follow-through on action items.
  • Support cross-functional projects by tracking deadlines, organizing materials, and facilitating team coordination.
  • Maintain and update databases, contact lists, and other administrative systems.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations of the supported teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2-5 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a high-growth biopharma, healthcare, or life sciences environment.
  • Proven ability to support multiple executives with competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with expense and travel management systems.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and anticipate needs proactively.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Adaptability and a strong team-oriented mindset.

The anticipated hourly range for this full-time non-exempt position is $40.00 to $48.00 per hour. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity.
