Job description

Signatus are working exclusively with a leading pharmaceutical group to recruit an experienced accounts technician or qualified bookkeeper into their small finance team based in Belfast. This role is office based but offers genuine flexibility around start and finish hours and will be fully supported by the Group FD in terms of onboarding and integrating with company systems and processes. The role can be either part time 3-4 days per week or full 5 day week depending on the candidate needs. The office of this company is based in West Belfast conveniently located on a Glider route.

Your new role

The role is initially offered on a 12 month contract basis. However, there is more than a strong probability that this role would be extended to a permanent position following successful completion of probationary period. The accounts technician will be responsible for the collection and input of data from the pharmacy branch network (via a central mailbox) onto the main SAGE 50 system. The company processes and systems are well defined and efficient therefore you will have certainty from month to month of your roles and responsibilities.

What you will be required to do?

  1. Collate supplier invoices and input them correctly into SAGE 50 to ensure end of month payments are accurate and can be processed seamlessly.
  2. Reconcile bank statements through SAGE payments.
  3. Review previous monthly reports against the current months’ data, identifying any discrepancies to escalate to the FD.

There is no credit control or debtor chasing within this role and limited payroll tasks required. Whilst you will be required to run some reports at month end, you will not be required to produce or interrogate P&L accounts.

What can you bring

Ideally you will be either an accounts technician with similar experience or a qualified bookkeeper who has used SAGE 50 previously.
