Job description

Sapiens UK is seeking an Account Director to join our busy Sales team, usually based at our Uxbridge Office. This role can be carried out remotely but there will be occasional travel to the Uxbridge office required.

About the role …

As an experienced insurance technology sales professional, you will be responsible for:

  1. Achieving annual quotas for all products, particularly focused on a small number of our largest P&C clients in the UK. Being responsible for generating incremental sales within this account base.
  2. Undertaking and be accountable for necessary lead generation activities to drive penetration of target organisations. Drawing on resources from business development, marketing and partners as needed to achieve this goal.
  3. Accurately assessing and qualifying opportunities to ensure sales effort and resource is expended effectively.
  4. The development and execution of individual account plans which detail the opportunity and sales strategy for increased wallet share spend.
  5. Driving the sales process through each stage of the sales cycle including Qualification, Develop, Solution and Prove through to Close.
  6. Undertaking astute management of pre-sales resources to develop compelling business cases to justify investment in Sapiens’ solutions.
  7. Engaging and working confidently with Regional Sales Director, Senior Business management and 'C' level executives, to progress sales opportunities.
  8. Managing key stakeholders within allocated clients through regular review meetings/contact.
  9. Producing accurate monthly forecasts of pending business to enable sales management to consolidate accurate forecasts.
  10. Acting as a professional ambassador for Sapiens, communicating company ethos to prospects and customers.
  11. Attending seminars, exhibitions and trade shows as required.
  12. Ensuring the processing of effective business in accordance with the company’s Compensation Plan.
  13. Developing internal relationships to ensure that effective internal communication is achieved and maintained.

Key skills & requirements for the role are …

  1. Extensive sales and account management experience within the Insurance market. Ideally within the P&C segment.
  2. Proven track record of closing high value deals (£1M+) as well as growing sustainable revenues within client base.
  3. Practical experience of dealing at ‘C’ level (presentations to and relationships with).
  4. Must have general business understanding of Insurance, including the technology and platforms available.
  5. Knowledge of Managed Services and Application Outsourcing and experience of selling these types of solutions would be an advantage.
  6. Ability to lead and guide a pre-sales team to successful business wins.
  7. Understands a consultative selling approach, able to work with colleagues within the client’s buyer network and be able to craft solutions that will provide business benefits.
  8. Understanding of how projects are planned and executed.
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills and able to establish positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  10. Self-starter, highly motivated and driven to succeed.
  11. Ability to work as a team leader (for scope and approach) as well as a team member (excellent influencing and communication skills and able to display tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations).
  12. Results orientated, who gets things done, sometimes in the face of adversity.
  13. Willing to travel extensively throughout the UK (and Europe).
