The Direct Material Senior commodity manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring direct materials required for battery manufacturing. This role ensures the continuous supply of high-quality materials at competitive prices, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and adhering to Verkor policies meanwhile pioneering the next generation of industry standards.

Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure the best terms for price, quality, delivery and EHS.
Conduct cost analysis and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Reporting: Prepare and present sourcing reviews at tactical & strategical level, including key performance metrics.

Supplier Performance: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conduct performance reviews, and manage supplier performance improvement activities.
Define tactics and strategy to ensure uninterrupted deliveries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, production, and quality assurance, to align sourcing strategies with overall business goals.

Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with purchasing guidelines, and relevant regulations.

Requirements :
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the battery or related industries.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of market trends, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis.
