VHIR offers a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician position within the Rheumatology Research Group – IMID-Biobank.

Education and qualifications :

Required :

• CFGS (Advanced Vocational Training) – FP2 Laboratory Technician or equivalent
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English (both written and spoken)

Experience and knowledge :

Required :

• Experience in biobanking and molecular biology
• Experience in tissue processing
• Experience with automated laboratory equipment
• Experience in Quality Management Systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access

Personal skills :

• Highly organized and adaptable
• Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to high-quality laboratory work
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills

Main responsibilities and duties :

• Handling, processing and storage of biological samples and associated data
• Maintenance of laboratory paper and electronic records
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Stock control of consumables and reagents
• Experimental support to investigators

Labour conditions :

• Full-time position : 40h / week
• Gross annual salary : 21,000 euros. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
• Contract : Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
