Working Student (m/f/d) Procurement Supply Chain

Location: Hamburg
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 12 months

You will receive a collectively agreed salary of at least €18.17 per hour, depending on the job. There are also special payments such as vacation pay.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities:

1. Placing orders in accordance with the purchase request, on behalf of the Commodity team.
2. Actively participate in the management of material flows to ensure the delivery of outsourced and purchased products according to deadlines, quality and cost specifications, to ensure customer satisfaction and to initiate preventive and corrective actions at first level.
3. Reviewing and ensuring order fulfillment.
4. Receiving and managing data related to order placement in the ERP system.
5. Managing short and long term operational action plans (delay in retrofitting, missing parts, improvement of logistics flows).
6. Ensure daily monitoring of supply chain performance (receiving, workshop areas, internal transportation, shipping) and ensure resolution of conflicts.
7. Collaborate with suppliers (remotely and/or on-site) and with transversal departments for the implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
8. Providing an overview of inventory levels and implementing action plans with suppliers to manage utilization.

Desired skills and qualifications:

1. Enrolled full-time student in a technical, business, or IT related field or a comparable field of study.
2. Initial practical experience in logistics, supply chain management, procurement or IT is desirable.
3. Business fluent in English, knowledge of German is desirable.
4. Quick comprehension and ability to work under pressure.
5. Analytical skills to recognize potential for improvement and provide significant support in its implementation.
