Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum materials to fabricate and build components and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting settings for different welding processes.
• Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and to specifications.
• Monitor equipment and perform basic maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Cross-train to serve as a backup in production during periods of low welding demand, which may involve performing various tasks in building aluminum dump trailers.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in MIG welding process.
• 1-3 years of experience in TIG welding process.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Actively seeks and supports continuous improvement activities in process efficiencies, costs and effectiveness of work.
• Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
