The mission of Weapon Systems: is to specify, define, develop, design, analyse, integrate, qualify, certify, maintain in service and ensure the continued airworthiness of all the air vehicles and systems developed by Airbus Defence and Space in the following Military disciplines:

• Armament & Armouring
• Electronic Warfare and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations
• Survivability & Defensive Systems
• Low Level Flight Operations
• Attack & Identification Systems
• Sensor Management & Data Fusion functions for the equipment/systems corresponding to the above functions
• Cockpit, Avionics, Mission Management & Pilot Assistance Systems, corresponding to the above functions

Your entry level options in the Weapon Systems Centre of Competence:

1. Systems (Design) Engineer for Avionics
2. Systems Engineer for Electronic Warfare
3. Avionics System Architect
4. System Architect for Real Time Software
5. System Architect for Manned-Unmanned System & Architecture and for cross-platform mission and teaming intelligence functions
6. Software Engineer
7. Equipment Engineer
8. Armament Engineer / Weapon Integrator
9. Requirements Engineer (IV&V)
10. Qualification engineer with certification support

You bring the following skills & qualifications:

• Degree in engineering, information technology, physics, computer science, mechatronics, real-time operating systems or similar
• First experience or interest in Avionics, System Architecture, System Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cockpit systems
• Ability to analyze and capture customer needs/requirements and define possible solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts
• First experience in requirements definition and their validation and verification (V&V)
• Integrity and confidence to speak up, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable with working in empowered teams with a strong focus on delivery
• Confidence to contribute your creativity and skills to teams of dedicated specialists
• Sense of responsibility to create reliable and airworthy air power solutions
• Fluent in English, German desirable, French or Spanish beneficial
• Overall passion for military aviation including various weapon systems and platforms!
