Responsibilities
- Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products;
- Operates manual or electric carts in order to fill orders;
- From the receiving area, scan and count items and load on cart;
- Stock items appropriately by location and quantity;
- Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves;
- Check off merchandise as received;
- Correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet;
- Assist in pulling parts during busy times;
- Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders;
- Miscellaneous projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience operating power industrial equipment;
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal;
- Understanding Map Locations;
- Sorting by alpha or numeric;
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements;
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment;
- Attention to detail;
- Great communication skills;
- Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs;
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach;
- Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/or stairs) or balance;
- May be subject to environmental conditions;
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus;
- Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors;
- Must have an open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and over time;
- 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred;
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse;
- Maintain and promote workplace safety.
