The site of Erlangen in Germany is focused on Powertrain Systems. Our department is looking for a VIE Junior R&D Project for 12 months within the team. We research, develop and test hardware components and systems for the electric powertrain of hybrid and pure electric vehicles.
You will coordinate and be responsible for small to big work packages of projects in your project area, ensuring the on-time delivery of the results to the internal management within the calculated budget and in the required quality.
In doing so, you are actively involved in the strategic direction of the company.
As well, you support the R&D Management team by creating analyses, cost breakdowns, presentations, and creating/updating process documents and instructions.
You work closely with the overall Technical Project Manager in the area of hardware drivetrains as well as with other internal stakeholders.
You independently define work packages, ensure progress in coordination with the technical department, and ensure the delivery of technical components according to requirements.
You have responsibility within your respective project scope and promote cooperation between the project, the clusters, and the line functions.
You support planning the budget, schedule, and implementing it to the project plan and linked systems.
Let's talk about you
You are graduated from electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study (automotive engineering).
Ideally, you have already gained professional experience in the development of automotive products as well as the corresponding process knowledge (ISO/TS, APQP, Automotive SPICE, ISO).
You have knowledge in the area of electric or hybrid drives.
You already have sound experience in managing small or even complex projects, ideally in the automotive environment.
You have a fluent level of English, ideally in German.
You have good communication skills, have an international mindset, and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking.
You are humble, listen, have a positive attitude, are professional, and possess a sense of diplomacy.
