Videographer / Videoeditor (m/f/d)

What we are looking for

We are an online yoga and meditation platform with offices based in Hamburg, offering exclusive content in both English and German.

Formerly two companies: Yoga Easy (German) and Ekhart Yoga (International), we have recently merged into one and are now 50 employees, all under our name Yoga Easy.
All of our classes are taught by an eclectic mix of international teachers and are recorded in our own studio in Hamburg. Our studio is professionally equipped with lighting, sound, photography and videography equipment and is controlled from our editing office.

We are looking for a video and photography allrounder, with a keen eye for aesthetics who loves producing amazing content for our platform and social channels and has a hands-on mentality. The position is unlimited and part-time (25-27 hrs per week).

You should be based in Germany and willing to travel to our studio in Hamburg when needed for the filming (2-3 times per month depending on teacher’s availability).

You will be working hand in hand with:

• The International team that is mostly remote
• The German video team whom you’ll be sharing the studio with

What you bring to the table

If you are our ideal candidate you will have an artistic flair for capturing the human body in a natural but creative way with the technical skills and knowledge to create high-quality video and images. A passion for yoga and wellbeing is a bonus but not an absolute necessity.
You will also have excellent interpersonal skills to work and communicate with the teachers, and our international team.
Along with the creative aspects of the role you will need to be meticulous in your planning. You will manage Yogaeasy.com’s filming schedule and you will liaise with the teachers to coordinate them to ensure their filming commitments are met.

Technical skills

• Studio filming, including set preparation
• Studio photography
• Editing video with Premiere Pro
• Editing photos with Photoshop / Lightroom
• Creating video content for social media and YouTube
• Creating designs with Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign
• Creating motion graphics with Premiere Pro / After Effects

Project management skills

• Excellent planning skills
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Excellent communication skills - strong collaboration with the content and marketing team

Other requirements

• Some flexibility for out of hours work (occasional longer filming days at the studio when a teacher travels from abroad)
• Friendliness and patience are two strong qualities we are looking for in the candidate, as you will be in direct contact with our teachers who are the heart and soul of the project
• Based close to or in Hamburg, ability to come into the studio for consecutive days
• Interested in yoga and wellness

You will

• Film Yoga Easy’s classes taught in English, by renowned international teachers
• Edit the footage to ensure consistency in Yoga Easy classes
• Upload all content to our platform adhering to the defined class schedule
• Create trailers and promotional snippets for our platform and social channels
• Create engaging imagery for our platform and social channels
• Liaise with the marketing and design team to ensure the best possible quality and collaborate on campaign briefs
• Shoot portraits of our teachers
• Edit images in Photoshop
• Communicate with teachers - in English - via email, phone and directly in the studio
• Manage the filming calendar, booking teachers into the filming schedule
• Stay up to date with competition and the world of online yoga and fitness to spot trends and other best practices

Our team mostly works Mondays to Thursdays but depending on the filming schedule of the week you will pick your days. We are a small, friendly and supportive team working a hybrid model of remote and in the studio.
