Vice President Supply Chain Operations

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Supply Chain Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution. This executive role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in supply chain management within the pharmaceutical industry. The VP will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
2. Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
3. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
4. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions across the supply chain, utilizing best practices and innovative solutions.
5. Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in the supply chain.
6. Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
7. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and make informed decisions.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and support for product launches and market demands.
9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality assurance protocols.
10. Budget Management: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
11. Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain to minimize environmental impact and promote corporate social responsibility.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
2. 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale supply chain operations and leading cross-functional teams.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
6. In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
7. Experience with supply chain software and tools, including ERP systems and data analytics platforms.
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
