We are looking for you to join us starting July 1, 2025, or even earlier, as Vice President Operations (m/f/d) in our Headquarters in Idstein.
The story begins
Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy, encompassing procurement, quality assurance, product and material development, product data and PLM management, demand planning, purchasing, order management, and customer service, in collaboration with corporate counterparts.
Translate Jack Wolfskin’s brand strategies into sourcing and product development strategies.
Collaborate with product teams (Category & Product Management and Design) to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and process-efficient product and material development.
Manage on-time delivery of prototypes, materials, sales samples, and production items by overseeing the planning calendar and utilizing PLM and supply chain management systems effectively.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to mitigate risk, balance supplier and factory capacity, and meet Jack Wolfskin’s quality and margin targets.
Work closely with the Corporate Sourcing Organization to optimize processes, map workflows, and implement best practices across various offices.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure a stable and reliable supplier base, including supplier evaluations and vendor scorecards.
Collaborate with Global Logistics and Transportation teams to ensure timely product arrival, optimal container utilization, and cost-efficient inbound logistics.
Partner with the European Logistics team to streamline inbound product delivery, manage outbound order flows, and achieve the lowest possible delivery cost per unit while meeting service objectives across channels.
Coordinate organization-wide communication regarding channel delivery cycles, allocations, and launch schedules, setting realistic and competitive expectations.
Lead the supply planning and S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes across all business functions, including subsidiaries.
Oversee the Sales Operations process to drive revenue growth and profitability, ensuring timely and efficient order fulfillment while optimizing warehouse flow.
Analyze ongoing operations to identify improvement opportunities, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
Regularly report department performance, including KPIs, project updates, and calendar milestones, to the Executive Team.
Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing team in sourcing, S&OP, and customer service to support future growth and innovation initiatives at Jack Wolfskin.
Your DNA for Jack Wolfskin
Bachelor's degree in business, textiles, production, supply chain, or related field
Over 15 years of experience in the apparel and textile industry, with at least 10 years in leadership roles
Extensive experience in product development, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics
Expertise in supplier management and sourcing strategies, driving strategic product innovation
Deep commercial understanding of wholesale, retail, and e-commerce, aligning service levels with business needs
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and collaborate across all functions at all organizational levels
Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing workflows to meet deadlines
Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication across departments
International mindset and willingness to travel for global operations management
Success measured through key metrics such as gross margin, OTIF delivery, quality issues, and inventory turnover
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), PLM, and supply chain management systems
Experience in operating an S&OP process
Fluent in English and highly proficient in Microsoft applications
