Job Title: AML Associate Director, (Capital Markets) 6-Month FTC

Salary: €100,000 - €140,000 (Pro rated 6 month FTC)

Are you an experienced AML professional ready to step into a high-impact role within a dynamic capital markets environment?

We are delighted to be partnered with a global financial institution seeking an Associate Director (AML) to join its Capital Markets division in Frankfurt on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is crucial to strengthening the firm’s AML and financial crime framework across its European operations.

You’ll work closely with the MLRO and Head of AML to manage regulatory responsibilities, enhance controls, and support audits, risk analysis, training, and monitoring.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Support the MLRO in overseeing AML frameworks for all EU branches
2. Handle transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and investigations
3. Draft and submit STORs and SARs under guidance from the Head of AML
4. Maintain up-to-date AML/CTF/Sanctions/ABAC policies
5. Lead or support internal and external audits and coordinate remediation
6. Provide input into risk assessments and regulatory reporting
7. Deliver AML training and help bridge any knowledge or procedural gaps
8. Collaborate with internal teams and act as a key contact for BaFin and other authorities

What We’re Looking For:

1. Strong AML compliance experience in a financial institution or regulatory environment
2. Familiarity with German AML regulations (GWG, WpHG, WpIG, BaFin AuA AT, MaRisk, etc.)
3. Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
4. Experience in capital markets/wholesale banking
5. Hands-on, detail-focused mindset with strong stakeholder coordination skills
6. Comfortable working across multilingual, multicultural teams
