Trainee Purchasing (m/f/d) - 01.09.2025

Your new job includes

As a Purchasing Trainee, you will be comprehensively prepared in our 18-month program for a promising specialist or management career in international travel retail. You will optimize our merchandise assortment so that we keep inspiring travelers all over the world. During the program you will:

pass through various purchasing departments and their interfaces at Gebr. Heinemann and get to know all processes
take responsibility for your own projects and take on varied challenges in Germany and abroad, e.g. at our retail locations or international subsidiaries
observe and analyze the market and identify trends and new products, for example for the product groups perfume & cosmetics, confectionery & delicatessen, fashion & accessories, and wines, spirits & tobacco products
negotiate confidently and goal-oriented with our international business partners
deal with topics such as strategic market adjustments, trade calculations and pricing strategies

What you should bring along

Your task is demanding. That's why we are, too, when it comes to selecting applicants. That's why we are looking for

a university degree with a background in business studies
at least 6 months of relevant practical experience, ideally in the field of purchasing, e.g. through internships or working student activities
software knowledge, ideally first user knowledge of SAP and advanced handling of MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint
intercultural competence, through experience abroad, e.g. internships or semesters abroad as well as very good German and English skills
analytical thinking, communicative appearance and persuasiveness
team spirit for open, appreciative and trusting cooperation
mobility and high willingness to travel for worldwide assignments
