Job Description

Our trainee programme is a unique entry point into the world of renewables. During your time as a trainee, you will work on some of the toughest challenges within the energy sector, collaborate with some of the smartest minds in the industry, be offered world-class development and learning opportunities and be part of an exclusive network of ambitious young talents from across the world. You will also get the opportunity to apply for a seat on our CEO-led Future Board initiative – an advisory board made up of trainees and young professionals at Statkraft. As a Trainee in our Project Development Wind, Solar & Battery Storage team you will:

1. Support and lead Wind, Solar and BESS projects in development phase in Germany.
2. Communicate with relevant local stakeholders (politicians, permitting authorities, energy suppliers, landowners, and municipalities) and represent the project externally as well as internally.
3. Identify and manage project risks. Have responsibility for profitability of projects based on cost and revenue planning.
4. Learn and get hands-on experience on how to manage Wind, Solar and BESS projects from scratch up to permitting/building stage.

Qualifications

We are looking for recent graduates who are motivated to join us in leading the green energy transition. Below are some qualifications we believe are beneficial as a trainee at Statkraft:

1. University degree within relevant area of Economics, Business Sciences, Political Affairs, Natural Sciences or Engineering or similar.
2. No more than one year of work experience post education (excluding internships/part-time jobs).
3. Strong and proven ability to collaborate with others and work as a team player.
4. Curious and open minded towards different tasks and work environments.
5. Open to relocate during your trainee program for a period of 6 months.
6. Fluency in English and German is required.
