You will be part of EY’s EMEIA-based Digital Health Excellence Center (DHEC). Our mission is to improve health outcomes and patient experience. As the DHEC, we bring our expert knowledge and delivery power to industry-leading healthcare providers in collaboration with the local firms.

The opportunity

As a test manager, you will work alongside a team of international experts in technology, business and the healthcare industry. Smooth release of the software developed by the DHEC (Delivery Health Excellence Center) through testing is crucial for successful delivery of digital health solutions.

Your key responsibilities

As a test manager, you are responsible for oversight and management of all testing activities. Additionally, you will work together with near- and off-shore technical teams, vendors and external partners to ensure our tailored solutions for our healthcare clients are compliant with health regulations and standards. In your role, you will collaborate with clinical teams, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize and address health-specific IT requirements. As a technical expert, you ensure the feasibility, scalability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure. You also identify testing requirements and strategies for the testing team to follow. Additionally, you communicate requirements with other stakeholders like project managers, scrum masters, product owners, business analysts, developers and infrastructure or security architects, as well as provide training and support in business development.

What you can contribute – skills and attributes or shaping the future

• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills for both technical and business audiences.
• Proficiency in the local language of your country of residence is required.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a pre-requisite. Knowledge of additional languages will be appreciated.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines for multiple project deliveries in parallel.
• Ability/flexibility to travel.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, (Software) Engineering or other related field with strong IT focus. Master's or further certification are advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a test manager, preferably min. 1 year in a healthcare context and with particular focus on the oversight and management of testing activities.
• Deep understanding of testing activities and methodologies to ensure alignment with the software development lifecycle and project milestones. Preferably in a healthcare context, taking health industry regulations and standards into account.
• Experience in managing software and hardware resources for testing.
• Experience in defining scope of testing, design test strategies, plans, and procedure, and analyzing testing activities.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Testing certifications, e.g. ISTQB, CSTE.
• A reliable network in the healthcare industry and a consulting track record.
• A good overview of emerging technologies and industry trends, understand how they apply to our healthcare clients and can drive their adoption into our projects.
• Good knowledge of (agile) project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines as well as the related frameworks, e.g. Scrum or SAFe.
• Good understanding of software development.
• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, e.g. openEHR, Epic, telemedicine.
