Tender Manager Germany (m/w/d):

The role of the Tender Manager is that of a project manager involved in the preparation of price-based air and ocean freight tenders. The Tender Manager is responsible for analyzing business requirements and tender instructions, managing internal stakeholders and liaising with opportunity owners. The Tender Manager is concerned with quality, compliance, market competitiveness and risk/reward analysis. Their priority is the overall quality, completeness and timeliness of the bids submitted.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the planning, organization, management and delivery of large scale global logistics tenders / RFQs.
• Lead internal bid preparation, scheduling internal communication milestones per bid (kick-off, review calls, RG, etc.)
• Define and communicate pricing instructions & pricing architecture
• Ensure quality, time management and project delivery
• Sanity checks and discrepancy management
• Submission & uploads
• Version management & additional pricing rounds
• Align company interests with customer requirements through careful analysis of pricing data provided by global pricing colleagues and by coordinating input from Finance, Legal, Human Resources and Sales/Marketing; present completed project to senior management (including C-level management) for final approval
• Measure performance, maintain pipeline reports, update status of submitted RFQs
• Train colleagues to use TM-led tools and resources.
• Support other members of the team and take the initiative to suggest process improvements.

Job Requirements:

Your profile:

• Education: Graduation from relevant and/or compatible programs
• Skills: Business English, MS Suite, Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Transportation
• Advanced Excel skills
• Minimum 10 years' professional experience in pricing, procurement, TM, product development, inside sales, freight forwarding, etc.
• Previous experience with cross-functional teams, multicultural environments and project-based work is a must
• Fluency in an additional language (German, French, Spanish, etc.) highly desirable
