ABOUT THE ROLE
OVERVIEW OF KEY DIMENSIONS
Role Purpose: The Temporary Part-Time Assistant provides general administrative and coordination support in day-to-day operations within the Finance Team.
Team: Finance
Reporting Line: Head of Finance
Salary Band: Midi Job on hourly wage (16 EU/hour)
Starting Date: as soon as possible
Contract Duration: Currently we can offer an employment contract for 3 months
Working Hours: part time (20-25 hours per week)
Location: Transparency International Secretariat (TI-S), Berlin, Germany
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Provide general support in day-to-day operations of the team, including financial reporting on ongoing projects.
- Support accountants in the performance of accuracy controls on incoming invoices and reports from project partners.
- Provide assistance to project managers and accountants in project kick-off activities, ensuring sound compliance and financial infrastructure is in place from the outset.
- Support the team during the performance of scheduled audits, providing logistical coordination and facilitating the exchange of information.
- Support the coordination of work and information flow within the TI Secretariat and with Partners.
- Support information management for the team, including maintaining up to date, organized, and accurate filing systems.
- Keep track of incoming requests from external stakeholders and other teams and direct them to the relevant colleagues for further action.
- Assist with the update of documents and forms.
- Contribute to the overall functioning of the Finance team by providing ad-hoc support as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Background in finance, administration, project management, compliance, and/or other related fields.
- Relevant experience in an international organizational context working on finance, administrative support, project management, or related.
- Solid IT literacy in MS Office and Outlook and ability to learn quickly the use of other software or systems.
- Good communication and relationship management skills working collaboratively across stakeholders at all levels.
- Business fluency in English required; additional languages, particularly French, Spanish and/or Arabic, are an asset.
- Accuracy and attentiveness to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to effectively manage priorities and competing demands.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to produce accurate documentation with attention to detail.
- Highly developed teamwork and intercultural communication skills.
- Interest in anti-corruption work and commitment to the values and principles of Transparency International.
