Technical Director (m/f/d) | Highly profitable game studio

Our client is an award-winning game development studio, now part of a globally listed gaming company. With over 11 years of experience and an international team of 100 employees, they have set a milestone in the development of cross-platform, massively-multiplayer-online-role-playing games. For their Berlin office, they are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to drive the technological vision forward.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute a unified technology strategy across areas like game development, digital services, marketing, data analytics, and operational management.
• Lead, inspire, and manage a team of engineers, developers, and IT experts, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Ensure smooth communication and coordination across departments to promote innovation and efficiency.
• Manage resources and technology budgets, balancing cost-effectiveness with high-quality results.
• Support department heads and guide them in achieving both personal and team-wide goals.
• Maintain a robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure for all operations.
• Advocate for and implement DevOps practices to enhance the development lifecycle.
• Represent the studio at industry events, strengthening external relationships and highlighting technological leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience with at least one successfully launched title on PC or console platforms.
• A strong technical leadership background, having managed diverse teams in multiple domains.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience working in live-service environments or within the gaming industry.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing multiplayer, live-service, or sandbox games.
• Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and KPI-focused environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and their integration into game development processes.
