Teacher of English and TOK in the Secondary School (m | f | d)

For our bilingual Secondary School, we are looking for a qualified and committed teacher of English and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). Thorough knowledge of the IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) curricula would be a distinct advantage. You have

• a teaching qualification for English at Secondary School level and substantial teaching experience in language classes as well as in literature classes
• a good understanding of the Theory of Knowledge curriculum in the IB DP
• experience in teaching linguistically heterogeneous learning groups
• strong IT skills for effective use of our modern learning environment
• English language skills at native-speaker level
• good knowledge of German or a willingness to learn the language
• personal qualities that motivate and inspire the students
• open-mindedness, flexibility and the ability to work well in a team
• a high level of commitment

Your area of responsibility

• teaching English in the Secondary School (from Grade 5 onwards)
• teaching Theory of Knowledge in the IB DP (Grades 11 and 12)
• focusing on student learning and development, extending and supporting as required in order to help students to reach their potential
• collaborating closely with other teaching staff across the Secondary School
• participating actively in conferences
• communicating with parents and guardians
