Supplier Quality Engineer

We have partnered with an international dental brand searching for a Supplier Quality Engineer!

You'll be the key link between the suppliers and the internal teams. You’ll help ensure that everything from raw materials to components meet quality standards, working across departments to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into supplier-related non-conformances and ensure proper documentation, follow-up, and resolution
• Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process and oversee disposition of nonconforming materials
• Track and improve key metrics like First Pass Yield and supplier complaints
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Sourcing to evaluate supplier performance and drive corrective actions
• Conduct supplier audits focused on compliance, risk reduction, and process improvement
• Lead root cause analysis and support problem-solving initiatives with suppliers
• Participate in cross-functional teams and support product development by involving suppliers early in the process
• Help maintain and develop internal procedures and work instructions for supplier approval and monitoring
• Handle additional tasks as needed to support the Quality team

Desired experience

• A technical degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Metallurgical preferred)
• At least 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing quality environment
• Experience with tools like SPC, Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving (Green or Black Belt preferred)
• Experience with medical device or dental manufacturing suppliers
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to juggle multiple projects while staying organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working with data, creating reports, and using systems like SAP
